11" (28 cm.) Pressed bisque socket head,large blue
glass enamel eyes with darker outer rims and
spiral threading,dark eyeliner,daintily-painted
lashes,brush-stroked and feathered brows,accented
nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with shaded
outlined lips,pierced ears,brunette mohair wig in
long braids,cork pate,French composition and
wooden six-loose-ball-jointed body with straight
wrists. Condition: generally excellent,the
ball-jointed body precedes the 1880 spring-jointed
body of the firm. Marks: J (symbol) M 5/0.
Comments: Bebe Mothereau,circa 1878. Value Points:
rare model to find especially in petite size,with
gorgeous expression and pale bisque,lovely antique
costume.
