Earthenware figure of man with deeply-sculpted hair having tousled curls and beard,brown enamel eyes,painted brows,closed mouth,hemp-wrapped body with earthenware hands and sandaled feet. Condition: generally excellent,some repaint on fingers. Comments: Neopolitan,early-19th century. Value Points: especially fine sculpted detail of hair and beard,superb artistry of facial painting,early costume includes coat with capelet sleeves that is lavishly embroidered with gold thread.
