5" (13 cm.) doll. 8"l. cradle. A paper mache baby
with solid domed swivel head on paper mache
shoulder plate,has black enamel tiny eyes,paper
mache lower torso,hands and feet,and wooden lower
arms and legs,cloth midriff and upper limbs. The
baby,wearing antique bonnet,is resting in an early
carved wooden cradle with rare design features
including curved wood support designed to protect
baby from falling from cradle. Condition: doll is
fair with very worn facial features,one foot
chipped; cradle excellent. Comments: Germany,circa
1860. Value Points: charming tiny version of the
taufling baby,rare cradle with excellent carving.
