14" (36 cm.) Bisque socket head,brown glass
paperweight inset eyes,thick dark eyeliner,painted
lashes,rose blushed eye shadow,dark
eyeliner,accented nostrils,closed mouth with
shaded and accented lips,pierced ears,blonde
mohair wig over cork pate,French composition and
wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally
excellent. Marks: Paris Bebe Tete Depose 5 (red
stamp,head) (Eiffel tower symbol on torso).
Comments: Emile Jumeau,circa 1892,the character
face model of Paris Bebe created by Jumeau after
winning his lawsuit against Danel & Cie; the face
is considered the genesis of the 200 character
series. Value Points: beautiful petite example of
the rare bebe with fine creamy bisque.
