14" (36 cm.) Porcelain shoulderhead, cobalt blue glass enamel inset eyes, painted lashes, lightly feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French kid body with gusset jointing at hips. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: (illegible oval stamp on torso). Comments: French, circa 1860, attributed to Blampoix, possibly for Simonne. Value Points: the diminutive beauty has loveliest complexion, soft curls, and is wearing lovely dotted Swiss white voile gown with lace trim, undergarments, leather shoes, straw bonnet, tiny organza purse, gilt cross necklace.
