ceiling fixture is a center column of cut crystal
balls in various sizes, and nearly hidden by
luxuriant columns of smaller crystal beads; a
gilded bronze or metal circular frame captures the
glass beads and has five arched candle arms that
are interspersed with smaller candle holders. The
frame is also decorated with banner-shaped
ornaments, and more glass beads suspend below the
frame,captured by a flower-shaped cap from which
suspends an elaborately beveled large crystal.
Excellent condition. French,mid-19th
century, superb artistry of the fine and very rare
accessory, possibly created as a maitrise model.
