24" (61 cm.) Carved wooden shoulder head of adult lady with oval face,elongated slender throat,carved brown hair with deeply-defined combmarks captured in a small chignon at the nape of her neck,brown enamel eyes,painted brows and eye liner,aquiline nose,closed mouth,detail of sculpted ear lobes,hemp-wrapped body,carved wooden hands and lower legs,cotton and silk costume. Condition: generally excellent,finish worn off of legs and feet. Comments: late-18th century,Italy or Southern France. Value Points: grand size and superb artistry of carved wood.
