6" (15 cm.) Each has paper mache shoulder
head,painted black hair and facial
features,hand-stitched muslin body and sewn-on
leather boots. The man has stippled detail of
short hair around his face,large blue eyes,and is
wearing his original black woolen suit; and the
woman has sculpted chignon,refined features,and is
wearing her original turquoise silk costume with
metallic edging and elaborate head-dress.
Condition: generally excellent. Comments:
Germany,circa 1850. Value Points: well-preserved
early dollhouse dolls with original costumes.
