Description
24" (61 cm.) largest. Each has sculpted head with
artistically-painted and shaded facial features
and complexion,depicting two solemn-faced young
girls and a young violinist costumed as Harlequin
from Commedia dell'Arte. Each has stiffened hair
tendrils,and is costumed superbly in tapestries
and cotton with hand-painted details,or velvet
with hand-made lace trim and leather cobbled
boots. The boy holds a violin painted to match his
costume. The largest doll was named "Infanta",and
each has the artist signature,Nancy Wiley.
Excellent condition,circa 1990s. From the Anne
Rice Collection. One-of-a-kind.
