13" (33 cm.) All-wooden carved polychromed figure of woman with very strong angular features, brown deeply-carved hair waved loosely from her face into a tight bun at the back, large inset enamel eyes, carved very full lips, defined throat hollow, very pronounced nose, one-piece head and torso, dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, wearing ivory silk and green tapestry gown with yellow brocade vest, fringe and lace trim. Condition: generally excellent. Genoese, late 1700s, attributed to the workshop of Pasquale Navone.
