15" (39 cm.) Bisque socket head,brown glass sleep eyes,fringed lashes,one-stroke tapered brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with very full pouty lips,blonde mohair wig,composition and wooden ball-jointed body,with silk pinafore dress over Swiss dotted muslin under-dress,pantalets,socks,kidskin ankle boots,woven bonnet and preserved along with the base of her original box. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: K*R 114 39. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt,circa 1912,the glass-eyed version of the 114 art character series known as "Gretchen". Value Points: desirable size of the rare doll enhanted by very fine sculpting and fine matte bisque,original wig,body,and body finish,in virtually unplayed-with condition.
