Description
15" (38 cm.) x 16"w. x 7"d. The wooden cabinet vitrine in the shape of a French sedan chair has four windows with beveled glass and a hinged front door with another beveled glass window. Gilt metal mounts form the feet and decorate the upper corners, and the cabinet has original ochre-gold paint with gilt painted wood carving around each window, door and roof. Delicately-colored flowers and cherubic scenes decorate the front and sides, and the interior is upholstered in patterned silk, with two removable glass shelves for display. Excellent original condition. French, mid-1800s.
