Description
6" (15 cm.) largest tureen. Of creamy
softpaste,with elaborate brown transfer design
including butterflies,flowers,insects and abstract
symbols,identified by name on the reverse side as
"Chintz". The set comprises six graduated-size
oval platters,five covered tureens (one lacking
lid),12 dinner plates,six soup bowls,two smaller
plates,and two serving ladles. Excellent
condition. The set bears the Ridgeway mark which
indicates a date of January 7,1882.
