Description
21" (53 cm.) A wooden cupboard with bombe-shaped
doors features upper and lower cabinets separated
by fancy columns,and has a carved cornice flanked
by fancy finials. The cupboard has darkened gilt
finish with elaborate bronze mounts on each door
and the crest and apron,and hand-painted
Watteau-style scenes on each door. Included with
the cupboard is a white porcelain de Paris tea
service with rose and gilt edging and floral
trim,comprising lidded pot,lidded
sugar,creamer,and four cups and saucers. Excellent
condition. French,circa 1875,superb detail of
ornamentation on the luxury doll-sized furniture.
