Description
5.5" (14 cm.) The porcelain half doll with shapely
waist and flared hip base is posed with her head
turned modestly to the side,her arms crossed at
the wrists and held modestly to her bosom,having
sculpted brown hair waved into a loose chignon and
decorated at each side of her head with
variegated-color morning glories,brown painted
eyes and delicate smile,and having a painted blue
low-cut bodice with Dresden lace trim and
sleevelets edged with gilt beading and a gold
brooch,gold arm bracelets. Excellent condition.
Having blue stamp mark attributed to
Volkstedt-Rudolstadt. Germany,circa 1900,an
exquisite and very rare half doll.
