9" (23 cm.) l. bed warmer. Comprising woven straw
bowler with original Lutin label inside and on
band; velvet bi-corn hat which actually began as
jeweler's luxury gift box and then designed for
use as costume (original jeweler's label on
underside); empty Stetson hat box; Oscar Wilde's
Ballad of Reading Gaol in Little Library Edition;
leather bound "Notes" with gilt-edged papers;
flannel with various toiletry objects including
miniature shaving razor and file; faux pipe;
leather case with bone comb and files; silver
framed spectacles; silver plate jar with devil
design and message "Where is my collar button",and
brass bed warmer with raised design of man's
head.. Late 19th/early 20th cetunry.
