Description
14" (36 cm.) Solid domed bisque head with flanged neck,sculpted brown boyish hair combed deeply onto the forehead,small blue glass sleep eyes,painted lashes,tinted brows,accented nostrils,open mouth,two porcelain lower teeth,muslin body,composition lower limbs,nicely costumed in antique suit. Condition: generally excellent,little nose rub,crazing on legs. Marks: copr. by J.L. Kallus Germany 1394/30. Comments: Baby Bo-Kaye,designed by the American doll artist and entrepreneur,later founder of Cameo Dolls,this early example of his prolific and imaginative work,was made in Germany,circa 1925. Value Points: rare model with delightful chubby-cheek expression.
