15" (38 cm.) Pale bisque swivel head on kid-edged
bisque shoulder plate,blue glass enamel inset
eyes,dark painted lashes,feathered brows,accented
nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with
accented lips,ears pierced into head,blonde mohair
wig over cork pate,French kid poupee body with
square-cut collarette,gusset-jointing at
hips,knees and ankles. Condition: generally
excellent. Marks: F (head and shoulders).
Comments: Leon Casimir Bru,circa 1865. Value
Points: lovely pale bisque contrasts the plump
modeling,original wig with interwoven
ribbon,sturdy original body,antique woolen gown
with black velvet trim,black velvet bonnet with
ribbon trim,undergarments,ankle boots with
hand-cobbled soles.
