Description
10" (25 cm.) width of brim. 4 1/2" inside head
width. Intricately woven straw with multi-tiered
and knotted design features a flat top and very
wide brim that is turned up at one side. The
exterior of the hat is decorated with moss-green
velvet with red berries and leaves,while the
interior brim is overlaid with exquisite lace. The
inside silk lining has the gilt-lettered
milliner's label of Mlle Mourques of 36 rue Victor
Hugo in Lyon. Excellent condition. Circa 1885.
