Description
12" (30 cm.) w. x 8"h. x 7"d. A wooden box hinges
open at the front to reveal a paper-lithographed
scene of the countryside,with trees,stream,village
in background,and meadows. A wooden fence is at
the front and a blue lithographed paper label
reads "Bergerie". Inside are 14 lambs and sheep
with fleecy flannel "lambswool" coats and painted
paper mache faces,some with ribbons and bows,along
with the requisite "one black sheep" of every
flock. Condition: generally excellent. Comments:
French,circa 1890. Value Points: well-preserved
all-original condition of the charming
romantic-scene toy.
