15" (38 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate,pale blue glass enamel inset eyes,painted lashes,feathered brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with outlined lips,rose blushed cheeks,pierced ears,blonde mohair wig over cork pate,French metal armature body with padded stockinette cover,bisque hands and lower legs,bare bisque feet,antique-style costume included. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 2 (head and shoulders). Comments: Gaultier,circa 1875,with Gesland-made body from the original depose by Charles Ernest Pannier in 1872,the body style was designed to allow infinite articulation yet still present an appealing body shape. Value Points: beautiful pale bisque,fine sculpting of hands and feet,rare body style in wonderful state of preservation.
