22" (56 cm.) Paper mache shoulder head of adult
lady with slender oval face and elongated
throat,black sculpted hair with four ringlet curls
on either side of face and a tightly-coiled
chignon at the back,painted brown eyes in
well-defined sockets,dark eyeliner,single-stroke
brows,closed mouth with solemn expression,slender
kid torso and upper limbs,wooden lower arms and
legs,painted flat green shoes,brown woolen dress
and cotton undergarments. Condition:
well-preserved original finish,few craze lines at
front and left shoulder plate,body very
sturdy,right thumb tip broken. Comments:
Germany,circa 1850. Value Points: fine large model
has rare coiffure,rare brown eyes,and endearing
serene presence.
