17" (43 cm.) All cloth doll with pressed and
oil-painted facial features,brown painted hair
brushed across the forehead,painted brown eyes
with unusual white threading,black and brown upper
eyeliner,blushed ears,accented eye corners,closed
mouth with downcast lips,stitch-jointing at
shoulders,disc-jointed legs,separately-stitched
thumbs,wearing antique shirt,knickers with
suspenders,cap and wooden shoes. Condition:
generally excellent. Marks: Kathe Kruse I648
Germany (stamped on feet). Comments: Kathe
Kruse,circa 1910. Value Points: especially fine
quality of painting of hair and facial features on
the early model.
