22" (56 cm.) All-wooden doll with tightly-fitted
swivel head,refined facial sculpting with
angular-shaped face,high cheekbones,aquiline
nose,defined chin,well-detailed ears,tinted blue
eyes and shaded lips of closed mouth, original

Condition: generally excellent. Comments: the doll
is similiar to,but preceding, the deposed poupee
model of Marie Emmanuel Cruchet of 1852,having
less voluptuous shaping of torso,as necessitated
by the 1830 high-waist fashion,of which it is
dressed in an original gown with padded
bosom,along with undergarments and handmade
slippers. Value Points: very rare larger early
wooden poupee with handsomely carved
features,original finish,original costume.
