Description
23" (58 cm.) A sculpted wax doll with very gaunt
angular face and slender tall body has inset
enamel eyes,painted features,long flowing
hair,woolen suit with lace cuffs,tall boots,and is
posed with elongated slender wax fingers,holding
his violin; a decorative screen,the violin and bow
are included. Excellent condition except 3 fingers
broken on right hand. 1990s,By artist Liz Shaw,the
doll was commissioned for Anne Rice as a gift from
her publisher upon the publication of her
book,Violin,in which Stefan appears. Included is a
copy of Violin,autographed by Anne Rice,and a
photograph of Anne Rice with the doll and an
autographed note about the history of the doll.
