Description
7" (18 cm.) A wooden-framed doll trunk is covered
with checkerboard-pattern canvas fabric and
decorated with brass-studded mahogany straps and
woven braid straps. There are cast brass handles
at the sides to match the brass locks and
clasps,and the trunk is lined with sateen twill.
Excellent condition,few pieces of wood trim
missing,French,circa 1885,originally presented as
a candy box from luxurious Parisian
bon-bonniere,the trunk was designed for later use
as a doll accessory.
