Description
6.5" (17 cm.) The porcelain half-doll has a
shapely torso with tiny waist and flared hips as
though designed to support a full skirt; her oval
elongated face is slightly tilted and she holds a
gloved hand to her lips. The half doll has unusual
sculpted shaded brown hair in a high pouf with a
gilt-edged bonnet decorated with colorful plumes
and a yellow bow,and she wears a loosely-draped
blouse with gilt-laced bodice overlaid with a
draped striped shawl. Her right hand wears one
glove,her left hand holding the other glove.
Excellent condition. Germany,circa
1900,exceptional size and superb detail of
ornamentation.
