17" (43 cm.) Bisque socket head with very plump
cheeks and chin,painted brown upper glancing
eyes,black upper eyeliner and curly lashes,short
feathered brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth
with pouty expression,brunette mohair bobbed
wig,French composition and wooden fully-jointed
body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 2.
Comments: circa 1918,possibly Damerval and
Laffranchy of France who created a series of
character dolls at this time with this style of
painting. Value Points: rare model with
deeply-impressed and expressive features.
