Description
4" and 5". Each is all-bisque with black
complexion,and has a swivel head on kid-edged
bisque torso,peg-jointed elongated limbs,and bare
feet,brown glass eyes,painted lashes and
brows,closed mouth,black mohair wig,antique
costume. Condition: generally excellent,largest
has chip hidden on base of foot. Comments: for the
French market,circa 1882,the little dolls were
marketed as "poupees de poche" (pocket dolls).
Value Points: rare black-complexioned mignonette
are very hard to find,have charming faces and
original costumes.
