Description
9" (23 cm.) Standing upon a wooden platform with
four iron spoked wheels is a porcelain doll with
sculpted hair,muslin body,porcelain lower legs
with rare painted brown boots,and original hair
net with silk ribbons. The doll supports herself
by holding to a metal balancing rod that extends
between two tall vertical rods. When the platform
is pulled along,the doll swings back and forth and
tumbles in an acrobatic manner. The base is
stamped "Patent Applied For". Very good
condition,one wheel replaced,Circa 1860.
