Bisque socket head with flattened solid dome,full cheeks and chin,blue glass inset eyes,long painted lashes,brush-stroked and multi-feathered brows,accented eye corners and nostrils,closed mouth with defined space between the outlined lips,pierced ears,brunette human hair wig,Sonneberg composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 137 12. Comments: circa 1885,Sonneberg,mystery maker,the doll was made in the style of the popular French doll of the time,in an attempt to capture the French market. Value Points: very beautiful closed mouth child in lovely antique costume,from the Anne Rice Collection.
