16" (41 cm.) Bisque socket head with pale
complexion,brown glass inset eyes,thick dark
eyeliner,painted lashes,feathered brows,accented
nostrils and eye corners,slightly-parted lips,two
square-cut upper teeth,one square-cut lower
tooth,pierced ears,brunette mohair wig,Sonneberg
composition and wooden fully-jointed body,wearing
antique night shift,tulle cap with lace
edging,undergarments,shoes and socks,and carrying
little lamb with lace ruffle,as though "counting
sheep". Condition: generally excellent. Marks: S 7
H 908. Comments: Simon and Halbig,circa 1885.
Value Points: very rare early model with beautiful
pale bisque contrasting with the dark brown
eyes,wonderful costume.
