Description
4" (10 cm.) diam. To fit doll about 20". Of fine
wool with corded silk bands and leather brims,the
inside lining of the caps reveals their original
purpose as a candy sack,with drawstring tops,later
to be used by a child for dressing their
regimental dolls. In vivid colors of finest
fabrics,the caps are in excellent
condition,appearing never been used. French,circa
1885,rare.
