Bisque socket head,small blue glass sleep eyes,painted lashes,feathered brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with slightly-downcast lips in pensive expression,accent lines on lips,blonde mohair wig over plaster pate,composition and wooden ball-jointed body,wearing dainty antique cotton dress with cotton pinafore and matching bonnet,undergarments,socks and cream kidskin shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: D made in Germany 8 212 (head) Germany (red stamp on torso). Comments: Kestner,circa 1912. Value Points: the rarity of the model,few examples are known to exist,is rivaled by its quality of bisque,sculpting and painting,especially beautiful lips and expression,original soft curly mohair wig,pate,body,and body finish.
