Description
8.5" (22 cm.) Bisque figure of little child posed seated upon a large chamber pot,his head slightly uplifted and his arms bent at elbows and raised, the left arm separately modeled and attached as a "lid" to the rest of the "decanter" body, having sculpted blonde hair with curly forelock, intaglio blue side-glancing eyes, closed mouth with shaded lips, sculpted white smock with draped gold and pink ribbon-sculpted neckline. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Heubach (sunburst mark). Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1912. Value Points: the rare character is artfully sculpted to allow its practical, albeit incongruous, use as a decanter while still retaining a realistic and delightful pose.
