Description
4.5" (11 cm.) Each has bisque socket head with sculpted distinctive hair modeling,painted facial
features with side-glancing googly-like eyes,beaming smile,loop-jointed bisque arms and legs
with brown ankle boots. Condition: generally excellent,Max has restoration on left fingers,tiny
flake on left leg rim. Marks: 440 (legs). Comments: Kestner,circa 1915,the characters were
inspired by the storybook figures of Wilhelm Busch,Max has sculpted bobbed hair,sculpted blue
jacket,yellow pants; Moritz has brown topknot and side curls,green sculpted shirt and pink
pants. Value Points: rare little characters with wonderfully-sculpted features and costumes.
