Description
13" (33 cm.) x 10". The thickly-woven tapestry depicts two guardsmen with helmets, sabre, alongside their hounds, one guard with hand resting cordially on the head of a dog with details of forested foliage all around. Fragment of larger tapestry with very early border of hand-stitched homespun border. Late 1700s.
