35" (89 cm.) x 24". Against a draped background and posed on textured carpet is a solemn-
faced young lad riding his toy horse,the boy with short brown curly hair,well-defined
features,and wearing a grey dress with blue trim,black boots,the horse with detailed
expression,leather ears,and elaborate leather harness with silver stud trim. Unsigned,French,circa
1865,in artfully achieved gouache technique. Excellent condition.
