19th century style reposing on a a chair,a loosely-draped flower-trimmed shawl across her
lap,her feet bare; having upswept grey hair with topknot curls,sculpted ears,aquiline
nose,painted features,low-bodiced gown,sculpted bosom and throat hollow,beautifully defined
fingers. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: (Kister blue symbol). Comments:
Kister,Germany,circa 1900,the facial model and costume decorations in the style of the firm̴s
luxury half dolls. Value Points: the rarity of the porcelain vignette is rivaled by its exquisite
workmanship and artistry,with exceptional details of sculpting and decoration.
