Lightly pink-tinted porcelain swivel head with flat-cut neck socket,on original porcelain shoulder plate,plump facial shape,cobalt blue glass enamel eyes,thick black eyeliner,painted lashes,lightly feathered brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with primly-set lips,original blonde lambswool wig over cork pate,original kid body with porcelain arms to above the elbows,strings in torso to accommodate sitting pose,wooden knee joints. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: (faint Rohmer stamp on torso). Comments: Leontine Rohmer,circa 1860,the poupee has the distinctive Rohmer swivel head with metal attachment button on cork pate and Rohmer sitting system. Value Points: rare early doll is especially beautiful with soft rose complexion tones,brilliant eyes,rare deposes,perfect porcelain hands,and wearing exquisite original gown,jewelry,bonnet,undergarments and shoes.
