A realistically-sculpted black man and woman in poured wax are highly characterized,having painted features and tiny bead eyes,sculpted black tightly-curled hair,and are wearing original wax-dipped cloth costumes,original wooden bases. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Vargas,New Orleans,early 20th century,the studio-made dolls by the highly-skilled Vargas family re-created people and activities seen in daily life in New Orleans at that time.
