Description
7" (18 cm.) -11". Of paper mache with molded details of facial features,costumes and
accessories,the amusing figures have rounded and weighted bases,designed to never fall
over,each richly painted finishes. Included are Santa Claus,Dutch Girl,Yellow-Capped Clown,Foxy
Grandpa,Black Man with Derby Hat,Rooster,Schnickelfritz,and Baby. Condition: fair to very
good,original finishes on all of the played-with toys. Marks: (some with original paper labels).
Comments: the patented Rolly-Dolly Toys appeared in Schoenhut catalogs prior to 1914 and
some of the more popular line continued to appear until the early 1930s; Schoenhut promoted
their "beautiful,pleasing,artistic designs" in its catalog,and emphasized their "novel designs and
styles". Value Points: a delightful collection of the rarely-found American toys.
