21" (53 cm.) Bisque shoulder head with brown complexion,black sculpted hair in short boyish fashion with deeply sculpted comb-marks,brown glass set eyes,painted dark lashes,black brush-stroked brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth,kid pin-jointed body with brown composition forearms,antique black woolen suit. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 30-B 8 Germany. Comments: Germany,circa 1880,the model is known as "American Schoolboy",usually with white complexion and blonde hair. Value Points: rare variation of the early sculpted hair glass-eyed boy,has very pleasing complexion and enhancing decorative glaze on hair.
