Description
9.5" (24 cm.) A little child is posed standing behind a bisque egg-shell designed for use as
Easter candy container,and has a white bunny costume draped over his head and cascading
down his back. The boy has side-glancing intaglio eyes,painted features,closed mouth with a
smiling expression,while the bunny-face features solemn brown eyes,painted downcast lips and
a grey nose tip. Other details include bunny ears (one uplifted,one folded-back),child̴s fingers
and toes,shaded rose to white color of the egg,and well-sculpted bunny "fur". Condition:
generally excellent,one minute retouch at edge of egg shell. Marks: Heubach (sunburst).
Comments: Gebruder Heubach,circa 1910. Value Points: exceptional quality of sculpting
extending all around the figure,enhanced by artistic painting.
