18" (46 cm.) Bisque socket head with lo ng-faced modeling,full cheeks and chin,pale complexion,grey glass sleep eyes,dark eyeliner,painted curly lashes,incised eyeliner,brush- stroked brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,slightly-parted lips,two square-cut upper teeth,one square cut lower tooth,pierced ears,brunette human hair,early Sonnenberg composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists,nicely costumed in antique dress,undergarments,knit stockings,leather shoes,silk bonnet with lace ruffles. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: S 10 1/2 H 929. Comments: Simon and Halbig,circa 1888. Value Points: most appealing character like expression enhanced by fine pale bisque,original body and body finish.
