3" (8 cm.) -5 1/2". Seven all-bisque Kewpies in various poses,models and sizes,include pair of
Kewpie Huggers; Kewpie Traveler with umbrella and suitcase; Kewpie Soldier with red
helmet,sabre and rifle; classic standing Kewpie with painted shoes and socks; Kewpie Bride and
Groom with original crepe paper and net costumes; and Kewpie with silk pincushion cover and
strings,decorated with glass beads. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: O̴Neill. Comment:
designed by Rose O̴Neill,made in Germany,circa 1915,each has distinctive Kewpie blue
wings,topknot,side-glancing googly eyes. Value Points: wonderful collection of Kewpie novelties
with hard-to-find features or original costumes.
