Description
13" (33 cm.) h. dolls. 21" length of stand. A wooden stand with spring-tension loosely-
balanced paddles has two wooden poles with curved metal holders that support a pair of
paper-mache dolls with sculpted hair,caps,and facial features depicting a Dutch Boy and
Girl,each having loosely-jointed wooden body with painted shoes and stockings,and each
wearing factory-original costume. When the paddles are moved up and down,the dolls dance
about. Condition: structurally very good/excellent,doll faces and hair are scuffed although
they are all-original,original paint on base is missing. Comments: Schoenhut,the "Jolly Jigger"
pair were presented in the 1914 catalog available individually or as a pair,described as
"sensational dancing toy...dances the most imaginative difficult steps". Value Points: rarely-
found delightful American toy in deluxe double-doll style.
