15" (38 cm.) Bisque socket head with rounded facial shape,delicately-tinted complexion,blue
glass spiral-threaded eyes,very thick black eyeliner,painted short dark lashes,lightly-
feathered brows,rose-blushed eye shadow,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth
with shaded and delicately accented lips,pierced ears,original Schmitt pink plaster pate,blonde
mohair wig,composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with flat-cut derriere and
straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Sch (in shield on head and derriere) Bte
SGDG 1 (incised on head) 1 (incised on pate). Comments: Schmitt et Fils,circa 1880. Value
Points: especially beautiful model with unusual and superb painting around the eyes,lovely
bisque and painting,original signed pate and body,wearing early pique dress that may be
