Description
8" (20 cm.) One piece all-bisque figure of seated
child with arms lifted in front of forehead and
having closed fists with thumbs designed for
holding a ribbon; with knees bent and toes
curls,sculpted light brown hair with
topknot,intaglio blue side-glancing eyes,closed
mouth with smiling expression,impressed
dimples,sculpted white smock with pink yoke and
polka dots,ruffled collar and cuffs. Condition:
generally excellent. Marks: 8801. Comments:
Gebruder Heubach,circa 1910. Value Points: detail
of sculpting including buttons at back of
smock,bisque cut-work collar and sleeves,wonderful
delighted expression.
