8" (20 cm.) Bisque swivel head of young baby on bisque chubby torso,blue glass sleep
eyes,painted lashes,lightly-tinted brows,accented nostrils,tiny closed mouth,brunette mohair
wig,loop-jointed bisque arms and legs in bent baby pose,antique organdy gown with embroidery
and lace,silk lace-edged bonnet. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: c. 1924 by E.I. Horsman
Co. Inc. Comments: designed by Bernard Lipfert in 1924,made in Germany and distributed by
Horsman,the doll was designed as competition for the 1923 Bye-lo Baby. Value Points: especially
fine quality of bisque and sculpting on the fretful-faced baby with all-original parts,larger
size,rarely-found.
